Pretty Welder Girl wants to go to Paris for art school. She gets a letter saying she was accepted, but she did not qualify for financial aid. It's going to cost $30,000. Welder Girl is worried, and her Little Sister is worried too. She doesn't have enough money saved to afford to go.
Little Sister discovers a reality dating show is happening in Paris, and she convinces Welder Girl that this is her way to get to Paris! The show will fly her there, then there's a $22,000 appearance fee she can get just for being on the show.
Little Sister coaches Welder Girl on how to make the show, and then get kicked off first.
-Don't make prolonged eye contact
-don't be first to kiss him
-don't flip your hair
-make sure you eat any time there's food available because they never show girls eating on shows like this.
-lean into your stereotype (small town girl)
Show Producer is not impressed by Welder Girl's interview. He wants contestants with big social media presence to boost ratings, but Casting Director likes Welder Girl.
Welder Girl and Little Sister go to a local bar to blow off some steam, and Welder Girl ends up flirting with Cowboy. They make prolonged eye contact, and he asks her to dance.
Rude Dude starts bothering Little Sis, and Welder Girl swoops in to save her, throwing a beer in his face. Cowboy looks on approvingly.
The next day Welder Girl gets a phone call... She's going to PARIS!
All the ladies are excited to meet their hot French man! Aren't they surprised when they land in Paris, Texas! Welder Girl wants off the show, but she signed the contract. She needs to stay until she's cut by the Hot Guy, or she'll lose out on the $22,000 appearance fee. She really needs that money for art school in real Paris.
Low and behold, the Hot Guy is Cowboy from the bar! Welder Girl wastes no time telling him that this is all a giant mistake, and he he needs to kick her off. But he doesn't want to kick her off. He liiiikes her!
Welder Girl leans into all Little Sis told her about how to get kicked off. Casting Director tells her to stop trying to self sabotage, or she'll get accused of fraudulently getting on the show, which would equal no appearance fee.
First off we have a garden party so Cowboy can meet everyone. Welder Girl starts eating hot wings. Show Producer tells her to go talk to Cowboy. She starts by insulting him, and Cowboy is quite enjoying the banter. Show Producer decides this is gold! Very entertaining! We'll play it up that she's playing hard to get.
Welder Girl makes the first cut! She's not impressed. Six women left.
The banter continues, and Welder Girl continues to show that she is the best suited candidate for Cowboy.
Welder Girl's roommate, Science Chick, asks why Welder Girl doesn't just admit that she's into Cowboy. It's obvious! Welder Girl confides to Science Chick that she's here for the appearance fee. Science Chick informs her that at the end the final girl wins $250,000 for not choosing the guy (that's right, this is a love or money situation). It doesn't take much for Science Chick to convince her to go for the money!
Welder Girl wins a date, and as she spends time with Cowboy she realizes she quite likes him, but this is not a good time for her... She's trying to get to art school in Paris!
There's an obstacle course challenge which turns into chaos as the girls vie for first place. The horses break out of their pen. Cowboy drops everything to go round up the horses, and Welder Girl volunteers to help since she knows her way around horses. She is impressed by Cowboy's care for his animals.
Welder Girl makes the second cut. Five women left. Cowboy announces the final two will be going to France with him.
Cowboy sneaks Welder Girl away from the house under the cover of darkness to have an early morning picnic off camera. They admit they really like each other, but Welder Girl tells him this isn't going to work. The timing sucks, she wants to go to France. He wants to stay on the ranch. But they can't deny their feelings. Kissing ensues.
Cowboy asks to go to Welder Girl's house and see her art. Off they go! Cowboy likes Welder Girl's art, and offers to bring her as one of the 2 finalists to go to France with him. Cowboy doesn't know Welder Girl wants to stay in France for art school.
They return to the ranch, and Show Producer is livid. We're trying to make a show here, you can't just run off!
Welder Girl doesn't make the cut this time. She's confused. Cowboy is mad. Welder Girl is confused about why Cowboy is mad. It seems another girl told him about Welder Girl's ambition to go to art school.
Welder Girl goes home. Little Sis tells her it's time to go to France. Welder Girl flies to the real Paris and goes to art school.
Casting Director shows up in real Paris to let Welder Girl know the finale is shooting in real Paris tomorrow. She suggests Welder Girl should show up and tell Cowboy she's sorry.
Welder Girl shows up in a fantastic dress. She tells Cowboy she's here to apologize and explain. Cowboy is still mad at her. Welder Girl starts explaining. It's working. Cowboy isn't sure what's true anymore, but he feels used. And lied to. Welder Girl leaves crying. Casting Director tells Cowboy to go after her because she gave up her appearance fee to come back. Cowboy realizes all Welder Girl has given up to come back and apologize. She can't stay at art school if she gave back the money! He catches up to her and offers to pay for art school. Welder Girl asks how? Cowboy tells her to turn him down at the finale and win the $250,000. Then they can figure out how to stay together after that, but she'll still have the money for art school!
Cowboy proposes. Welder Girl says no to love, and takes the money! Then they kiss. They broke the premise of the show!
Show Producer isn't mad. But think of the ratings!
Cowboy is in love.
Welder Girl gets love AND money AND gets to go to art school in real Paris.
The end

I was super skeptical reading the title, but it actually sounds like a fun light-hearted romp that socks it to reality t.v. I'd watch this film.
